We just got word that the anticipated TRIUMPH tour of 2009 will not be happening this year. It's speculated that the tour will indeed take place next year. No details as to why the tour has been shelved. Odd, since this 2009 tour has been talked about since last summer's TRIUMPH reunion in Sweden! Could this mean their is some behind-the-scenes trouble?
For those who have resisted getting rid of their turntables and vinyl, this is good news. Best Buy has announced they will be considering a move to devote eight square feet of retail space to vinyl product. Citing the decline of cd sales, and the rise of vinyl record sales (up 89% in 2008...the most since 1991), the retail giant has tested this move in 100 of it stores. Although now, you can bet they'll cost more than the last record you remember buying!
