It was to be the Woodstock of the west in April of 1974.
California Jam.
Over 25o, ooo kids came to the Ontario Motor Speedway in Southern California on April 6th to see eight bands onstage during the 12 hour open-air festival. The sun was shining and the bands were rockin'! You can almost smell again those familiar concert aromas in the air...
Then came California Jam II on March 18th of 1978. Bigger, better, louder than before...Cal Jam in 1978 featured HEART, TED NUGENT, SANTANA, FOREIGNER, and AEROSMITH among others...

These videos have the highest image and sound quality to date. The fan club website includes a library with over two-thousand California Jam documents, letters and contracts combined. Including rare memorabilia, color photographs, stage & site schematics, online forum, California Jam video theater, club store, and offers a quarterly California Jam fanzine: "The California Jammer". All coming in 2010.
